Learn how to make earrings, bracelets and necklaces using wire and stringing techniques. We teach you the techniques to make your own individual jewellery designs to take away with you on our Jewellery Making Evening Course in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

The jewellery workshop begins at 7pm  and finishes at 9pm 6 weeks from Wednesday 15th Sept 2010 – 20th Oct 2010.

Learn how to work with wire to create the ring band from scratch! Add a button to embellish and finish the ends neatly.

3. Chain and Pinwork Necklace Jewellery Making Workshop

Learn to make perfect loops on wire and create bead links, adding chain for a fashionable design.

4. Illusion necklace Jewellery Making Workshop
Work with monfilament to make this popular style of necklace. Change the beads to crystals for a bridal look! Learn how to finish the ends and secure the beads to create the illusion of floating beads.

5. Twisted Wire Bracelet Jewellery Making Workshop
Learn how to twist beads into wire to create this pretty bracelet. Finish the wire ends with neat loops and learn to attach the finishings professionally.

6. Crystal Ball Earrings Jewellery Making Workshop
Learn how to bead a crystal ball with 6mm Swarovski Crystals. Turn them into earrings by attaching them to ear wires.

Please note that images are for illustrative purposes only. These are a representation of the style you will be making. Beads will be provided including SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS where stated. We provide enough beads for your to successfully complete the project, however, you may wish to bring beads of your own, or work with extras purchased in the shop on the day.
How much will it cost?
The Introduction to jewellery making sessions are just £20 per class and include materials such as glass beads, semi-precious gemstones, shells, wooden beads and much much more. Please note: Advance payment and deposits are neither refundable nor transferable if you are unable to attend the workshops. If you have paid deposit only, you are liable for full payment of the workshop if you are unable to attend. Cancellations received 14 days prior to workshop date and cancellations with extenuating circumstances can be transfered. This is at the discretion of the proprietors. If you have a holiday booked or know a specific date that you cannot attend during the 6 weeks, please notify us at the time of booking.

Jewellery Making Course

New dates now released for an evening course in jewellery making located at the Shiney Company bead shop in Painworks, Bristol. The jewellery evening course runs continuously on a Tuesday night from 7pm to 9pm and is just £20 per session including all materials, tuition, use of tools and light refreshments.

It’s a fun, friendly environment where you learn many styles of jewellery making, how to design your piece, selecting the beads and techniques and tips for a professional finish.

Summer Holiday Jewellery Making Activities for Children Every Thursday Afternoon during August in Stroud, Gloucestershire and Bath

School Summer Holidays 2010

2pm – 5pm Thursday 19th August (minimum booking 1 hour)

Location: Shiney Company Bead Shop, 27 High Street, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 1AJ

Beat the Summer Holiday boredom and book your children into a fun filled jewellery making session at Shiney Company. Its suitable for children age 6+ and they will be learn to make rings, necklaces and bracelets during a 3 hour session.

Each half an hour jewellery making activity costs just £5, (minimum booking 1 hour). For every half an hour thereafter, you pay just £5 and the children get to make a variety of jewellery pieces to take home.

Tan Cord and Bead Bracelet

2pm – 3pm We will be teaching the children to make rings with beads, elastic and/or memory wire (style depends on age and experience)

3pm – 4pm Each child will make a bracelet with beads elastic, cord or wire (style depends on age and experience)

4pm – 5pm We will be making necklaces with cord or wire, beads and buttons (style depends on age and experience)

Shiney Company was established in the Summer of 2006 by two friends Jane Purdy and Amanda Pickstock with bead shops in Bristol, Bath and Stroud. The Stroud store has been open since April this year and we are quickly building a reputation for professionalism and quality, just like our other shops. Our friendly, experienced tutors regularly work with adults and children during our scheduled workshop activities and children’s parties. In our other shops, we have run classes for local schools and we are committed to providing a safe, friendly welcoming environment for all. We offer water and squash during the jewellery making sessions, however, should you wish your child to bring their own drinks that is fine with us. Shiney Company has CCTV in the shop and workshop for the protection of your child and our staff. When you book your child onto any of our Summer Classes we will ask you to complete a form with your contact details and anything that we should know about your child to help us give them a happy and comfortable experience when they are jewellery making at Shiney Company.
