Retail Sales Assistant & Jewellery Tutor

Job Location: Shiney Company, 27 High Street, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 1AJ.

Are you passionate about craft and jewellery making? Do you have extensive retail experience and excellent customer service skills? If so this could be the opportunity to you.

We are looking for a full-time shop assistant to join our team in Stroud. You must be self-motivated, self-disciplined and have retail experience. Our ideal candidate will already make jewellery and have a passion for craft.
Hours: 35 per week – Tuesday to Saturday 10am – 5.30 pm
Plus additional hours tutoring Jewellery Classes when required  – 1 evening per week 6pm – 9pm (different rates of pay apply for out of hours jewellery tutoring)

Pay: £6.10 per hour.

You will be required to serve customers, clean and dust display areas and the workshop. In addition to learning about the vast number of jewellery making products in order to advise and inspire customers, you will promote classes and new products and repair jewellery. A desire to always be learning and develop your jewellery skills in order to teach new classes is essential. In addition you will also be responsible for opening and closing the shop as a key holder and directing a part-time member of staff.  We provide on the job training. It is essential that you honest, reliable, a quick learner and very willing! We operate a fun, friendly, straight-talking, hard working environment and are looking for someone who will fit-in with our team.

•    This competition is also open to customers who don’t currently use Facebook
•    If you do not use Facebook and wish to enter, please contact Jane or Amanda on 0117 300 9800 and arrange to visit one of the shops with your entry to be photgraphed. Shiney will upload your entry onto Facebook on your behalf with your name
•    All entries will be judged on the number of ‘Likes’ they receive as well as Shiney Staff Votes
