How to secure the end of a thread in your beadwork
Half-hitch knots are a great way of securing thread ends or adding new thread into your work.
Here was have photographed a 4 simple steps to help you to achieve a secure knot.
Step 1
Thread the needle under the thread that bridges the next bead to where your thread is exiting.
Step 2
Pull through so that you are left with a small loop (see second image below).

Take the needle through the loop you have made.

Pull the thread to slide the knot up to your work.

It is advisable to pull the thread through so you make a small loop. If the loop is too big, the thread may tighten too soon, leaving you with a loop in your work.
