Getting Started Making Jewellery – What style shall I make?
If you are thinking about taking up jewellery making as a hobby or to develop into an income, there are some things you might want to consider before you invest in the various tools and jewellery supplies required.
What style of jewellery do you want to make? The images and titles below are just some of the styles of jewellery you can make. There are many other styles too such as traditional silver smithing, Precious metal clay and Polymer Clay. Designers make jewellery with all sorts of materials, acrylic, feathers, shell, DIY items such as washers and pipe, safety pins, guitar plectrums and even old tin cans and crisp packets. You can experiment and see what style is for you.
The good news is many of the styles listed below require the same start up materials and tools. So it’s not expensive to set youself up and you can try making the different styles and see which ones you enjoy most.
