Today’s Tip – Adding bails and triangle clamps
I often hear tales of cracked crystal and glass when people first use pinch bails and triangle clamps to attach pendants to necklaces. Many people work with pliers to close these findings, but the easiest and safest way is to use your fingers. You’ll find the triange clamps and the pinch bails generally open easily but pulling apart gently. You can then position them over the holes in your pendant and use your fingers to carefully squeeze shut without the danger of cracking the crystal with your pliers.

Thanks.
But what if the bail is so strong its not possible to close with your fingers? What do you advise than?
Thanks,
Mirjam.

Try using nylon jaw pliers (see link below) or putting some tape over the ends of your pliers so you don’t hit the pendant with the metal. Hope this helps.
