Indian Summer Earrings Tutorial

We are all hoping for an Indian Summer this year and in preparation you’ll need some ethnic jewels to add sparkle to the summer fashions. Step 1

Take 40cms of 0.8mm GP wire and wrap three times around a ring mandrel at Size W. Slip the coil off the mandrel and gentle stretch the coil out flat and set aside.

Step 2

Using soft and thin 50mm GP headpins, thread on a 10mm Amethyst crystal and create a coiled loop with your round nose pliers. Do the same with two 6mm Light Rose AB crystals.

Step 3

Thread the crystals (6mm, 10mm, 6mm) on the wire so they hang from the lowest coil. You should have two coils directly above where the crystal fall. Position each wire at either side of the coil.

Step 4

Hold one side of the coil tightly and wrap the wire three times at the side to secure. Do the same on the other side. Snip the wires and squash sharp ends flat.

Step 5

Add a pair of ear wires made with a crystal to complement your design.
